Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lot Attendant/Valet is responsible for moving and parking vehicle in an organized manner to maximize parking space, cleaning vehicles and maintain them in sound working condition. He/She is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the vehicle in a presentable and sell able condition.  He/she will interact with guests and graciously provide a solution that exceeds their expectation.   He/she will perform other duties as assigned.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • drive company vehicles in a safe and timely manner from one location to another
  • greet each guest in a prompt and courteous manner and determine the nature of their visit and graciously provide the service exceeding their expectation
  • direct guests to the correct department or parking area
  • keep lot neat and orderly by moving cars in a timely manner, parking cars in the proper area within allotted space and keeping area clean in accordance with dealership display standards
  • lock up all vehicles and keep keys in the designated locked box and in an organized manner
  • clean interior and exterior of company and customers' vehicles that looks ready for display
  • manually vacuum and wash vehicles in a designated area
  • report any damages or concerns to Department Manager
  • run errands to pick up and/or deliver items as requested
  • assist department managers and supervisors as requested

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • valid state driver's license and a good driving record

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate ability to drive company vehicle in a safe manner
  • Demonstrate knowledge of operating a personal computer and its applications

Language Skills:

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand appointment log and/or pick up/drop off schedule

Reasoning Ability:

  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative to get tasks completed or meeting guest satisfaction
