Job Description


The Receptionist is responsible for answering phone calls and greeting customers. He/she will direct guests to the correct person or department. The Receptionist is also responsible for providing guests an exceptional experience that is memorable either in person or on the phone.



  • handle high volumes of inbound phone calls with the highest level of professionalism
  • follow scripts and guidelines on all inbound and outbound calls
  • answer phones and provide guests with proper information in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • direct guest to the correct department, notify the appropriate personnel that guest is waiting, or introduce the guest to a sales consultant
  • answer basic inquiries from guests and refer more extensive inquiries to the appropriate personnel
  • perform clerical duties such as filing, typing and data entry as requested by Manager
  • prepare outgoing mail for delivery
  • research addresses for undeliverable mail and update
  • maintain customer information in BDC systems
  • type memos and correspondence
  • use computer, fax, copier and other office equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or
  • three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • demonstrate ability to communicate verbally with guests and provide them an exceptional experience that is memorable
  • demonstrate ability to type 45 wpm
  • demonstrate basic level computer proficiency
  • demonstrate good interpersonal communication skill and ability to work well with others
