Job Description

     POSITION SUMMARY

The receptionist is responsible for answering phone calls and greeting customers. He/she will direct guests to the correct person or department. The receptionist is also responsible for providing guests an exceptional experience that is memorable either in person or over the phone.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • answer phones and provide guests with proper information in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • answer phone and direct guests to the correct person or department
  • greet guests and determine the nature of their visit
  • direct guest to the correct department, notify the appropriate personnel that guest is waiting, or introduce the guest to a sales consultant
  • answer basic inquiries from guests and refer more extensive inquiries to the appropriate personnel
  • perform clerical duties such as filing, typing and data entry as requested by Manager
  • maintain sales loaner files and update loaner board
  • Hand out brochures or other information to customers
  • Keep itineraries of specific people
  • Prepare outgoing mail for delivery to the post office
  • Accept mail
  • Type memos and correspondence.
  • Use computer, fax, copier and other office equipment.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Maintain a high degree of courtesy.
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance and/or adhere to uniform requirement if applicable.
  • Adhere strictly to all company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of confidential personal information of our customers in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule, implementing the provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act as they pertain to automobile dealerships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and all other reasonable requests from Management

Job Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

     Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
  • Three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate verbally with guests and provide them an exceptional experience that is memorable
  • Demonstrate ability to type 45 wpm
  • Demonstrate basic level computer proficiency
